Color
Whiskey very pale golden color with silvery sheen.
Taste
The taste of whiskey is rich and sweet, light, smooth and oily, reveals seductive licorice hues, nuances of smoke and dried herbs. Smoky tones become especially bright in the middle of taste, accompanied by accents of spices, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. The finish is medium length, slightly sweet.
Aroma
Aromatic whiskey bouquet is very soft, clean and fresh, has an intense sweetness, savory earth tones, fruity notes, as well as smoky nuances. With the strengthening of smoky accents in the bouquet, rich shades of smoked bacon and minerals appear. The sweetness is clearer, and with it the notes of apple, sweet pear and banana cooked on the grill come to the fore.
Gastronomy
Whiskey is excellent in itself, as a digestif, with the addition of a couple of drops of water, and also paired with a fragrant cigar.

In the 18th century, a large-scale production of alcoholic beverages began on the island of Islay; by 1740, there were more than a dozen distilleries, but after tightening the laws, many plants were closed, so only two productions remained. In 1816, these plants merged, creating the company Lagavulin. As in those days, now Lagavulin distillery is the largest on the island of Islay.
