“Milleuve” Rosso, 2007 – an exquisite Italian wine produced in the Marche region from Sangiovese and Montepulciano grape varieties and demonstrating shades of dark berries, spices and herbs in the aroma. When growing vines on the estate, the introduction of synthetic fertilizers is avoided, the grass cover is left on the soil, and special agronomic methods are used to achieve the “magic” natural balance. This, in particular, implies a low yield of vines. The harvest, which is carefully carried out by hand so as not to damage the fruit, is carried out after a careful selection, which begins when the grapes are still on the vine. Vinification of each variety takes place separately and includes soft pressing, fermentation and maceration in small wooden barrels and long aging in barrels and bottles.
The young winery Contrada Tenna belongs to Nicolo Manferrari, owner of one of the greatest wineries in Friuli, Borgo del Tiglio . In his project in Marche, Nicolo aims to express to the maximum the unique characteristics of the local varieties Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Thanks to old vineyards and organic winemaking, he successfully achieves this goal. The Marche region, where Contrada Tena is located, although in the shadow of Tuscany, has already proven that it is capable of achieving impressive results in the production of high-quality wines and successfully competing on the world market.
