Cantina del Pino, Barbaresco, 2010 – elegant red wine from the Italian region of Barbaresco. Beverage production uses Nebbiolo grapes. In the production of wine used 20-30-day maceration with careful control of temperature and humidity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and further aging in oak barrels lasts about 2 years. Before bottling the wine is not filtered, and after bottling further aged in underground storage at 15 ° C. The wine has good storage potential.
Cantina del Pino was founded by a former director of the Royal School of oenological – Domizio Kavatstsa. Having acquired the estate and land in Ovello (Barbaresco), Senor Cavazza engaged in direct production of wine, which was based on selected varieties Nebbiolo. The birth of his first son Senor Cavazza said landing a huge pine. Over time, his estate and nicknamed – Cantina del Pino (“Pine Winery”). After the death of Domizio Cavazza family winery was sold Vacca, whose descendant Renato Vacca and is the current owner of the farm.
All vineyards Cantina del Pino located on the estate and family members are treated Vacca. Age of local vineyards ranging from 35 to 70 years. The most famous plantation is called Ovello, vines are grown on the southern and south-eastern exposure. Since 2005, the economy started to produce wines category Reserve from grapes grown on the neighboring property – Albezani. According to the owners, the combination of these two crops of vineyards allows perfectly capture the essence of the local terroir and varieties Nebbiolo.
