Color
Wine is an attractive ruby-red color.
Taste
The taste of wine is full bodied, full and deep, with notes of black currant, graphite shavings, cedar and herbs, with light tannins and a long finish.
Aroma
The wine shows complex, powerful aroma, woven from the notes of ripe black fruit, truffles, coriander and pepper.
Gastronomy
The wine is excellent with dishes of meat and game, with a bird, duck magret and hard cheeses.
A complex, multi-faceted red wine “L’Esprit de Pennautier” is made from grapes Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the vineyards on the slopes of La Montagne Noire. The soil is mostly chalky. The first vintage of this wonderful wine was released in 1997. Harvesting is done by hand. Long maceration lasts 25-30 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new barrels. Matured wine is 12-18 months in French oak barrels. Before bottling the wine is not filtered. Wine “Esprit de Pennote” You can drink now or over the next 10 years.
