Wimmer-Czerny, Gruner Veltliner Alte Reben “Weelfel” is a white wine with character, with a complex fruity aroma and a powerful, but very elegant taste. The grapes for its production are grown on the “Weifel” site in Gözing, located on the southern side of the Hengstberg slope, at an altitude of 320 meters. The climate here is drier and cooler, and the site itself is surrounded by many hedges, especially blackthorn and wild rose. Grüner Veltliner vines over 50 years old are cultivated using certified biodynamic methods. The harvest is harvested by hand at the end of October. Selected grapes are crushed in a press under the influence of gravity. The resulting wort is left to settle for 6 hours and then slowly fermented using natural yeast in steel tanks. After 12 months of aging, the wine is bottled without filtration. The storage potential of wine can exceed 15 years.
